What are the different DEWALT Battery Lines?
- DEWALT MAX: This is the base product line of DEWALT batteries. This uses the lithium battery cells found in most power tools, running in parallel for higher powered batteries.
- DEWALT FLEXVOLT: These high-powered batteries offer variable power output so they can be swapped into tools requiring less power. While you can't use a 20V battery to power a 60V tool, you can use these 60V batteries to power a 20V tool. Yes, it will be bulky in heavy, but the flexibility and added run-time might be a worthy tradeoff
- DEWALT POWERSTACK: This new line of DEWALT batteries uses pouch lithium cells, similar to ones found in slim cell phones. What are the advantages of pouch cells? The POWERSTACK design offers a lighter weight and slimmer design.
